Hi, I’m Laia.
Born in Barcelona, I spent a great part of my life traveling around the world, but it was here, in the north of Mallorca, where I found my place.
The landscape, the rhythm of life, the connection with nature, the turquoise waters of the sea… it simply felt like home from day one.
Cooking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the kitchen, helping my mum with whatever she would let me, tasting everything and giving my serious nod of approval. So many memories are linked to the kitchen, where I learned that cooking is never just about eating — it’s about sharing, connecting, and creating moments together.
A Taste of Sun was born from that feeling.
A natural way of bringing people together — sharing laughter, telling stories, where conversations flow and everything feels simple and real. Where time slows down and nothing else really matters.
My way of cooking is intuitive and honest. I work with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, respecting traditions while leaving space for creativity. Simple food, made with care.
I’m not here to create something overly refined or distant. I offer a more personal, relaxed and authentic experience, where you can be yourself and enjoy the moment.
Because in the end, it’s not just about the food — it’s about everything that happens around it.
